1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using easytimi (the "Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

The Service is operated by easyTIMI IKE, a company registered in Greece, and is subject to Greek law and European Union regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Description of Service

easytimi provides cloud-based invoicing, billing, and financial management software designed for freelancers and small businesses operating in Greece and the European Union. The Service includes:

• Invoice creation and management
• Receipt management and scanning via iOS mobile application
• Integration with Greek tax authority systems (AADE myDATA)
• Customer and payment tracking
• Financial reporting and analytics
• Real-time notifications via ActionCable

3. User Accounts and Registration

To use the Service, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction
• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service to transmit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Violate any applicable Greek, EU, or international laws or regulations
• Infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful software

5. Intellectual Property Rights

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by easyTIMI IKE and is protected by Greek, European Union, and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your Content: You retain all rights to the data and content you upload to the Service (invoices, customer data, receipts, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

6. Data Protection and Privacy (GDPR Compliance)

We are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Greek data protection laws (Law 4624/2019).

Key principles:

• Data Controller: easyTIMI IKE acts as the data controller for your personal information
• Lawful Basis: We process your data based on contractual necessity and legitimate interests
• Your Rights: You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability, and object to processing
• Data Retention: We retain financial data as required by Greek tax law (minimum 5 years)
• International Transfers: Data is stored within the EU. Any transfers outside the EU are protected by appropriate safeguards

7. Tax Compliance and myDATA Integration

The Service integrates with the Greek tax authority's myDATA system (AADE). By using the Service:

• You acknowledge that invoice data will be transmitted to AADE as required by Greek law
• You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all tax-related information
• You understand that easytimi facilitates compliance but does not provide tax advice
• You should consult with a qualified tax professional or accountant for tax matters

8. Subscription and Payment Terms

Free Trial/Startup Phase: During our startup phase, the Service may be offered free of charge. We reserve the right to transition to a paid subscription model with advance notice.

Paid Subscriptions: When applicable:

• Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
• All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes (VAT)
• You may cancel your subscription at any time
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis in accordance with EU consumer protection laws
• Price changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance

9. Data Export and Account Termination

In accordance with GDPR data portability rights:

• You may export your data at any time in machine-readable format (CSV, PDF)
• You may terminate your account at any time through the account settings
• Upon termination, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law
• Financial records may be retained for up to 5 years as required by Greek tax law

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Greek and EU law:

• The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim
• We are not responsible for third-party services or integrations

Note: Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or matters that cannot be excluded under EU consumer protection laws.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless easyTIMI IKE, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party
• Your violation of applicable laws or regulations

12. Modifications to the Service and Terms

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service at any time, with or without notice. We will notify you of material changes to these Terms at least 30 days in advance via email or through the Service.

Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

13. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

Governing Law: These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Greece and the European Union.

Jurisdiction: Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Athens, Greece.

EU Consumer Rights: If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under Greek or EU law, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
